Let's make things betterOne of the most important things on the ballot this year is a series of by-law amendments that are the work of a Board sub-committee. I fully support adopting all of these proposed amendments. Especially Amendment 4.

The most important ThingProposed by-law amendment 4 (3-year Board Terms) is probably the most important amendment we decide this year. Originally proposed in 2018, it narrowly was not passed among the 18 amendments we considered that year (47% yes, 53% no), but it's time to revisit that.
A place for dialogueThere's a balance to telling enough and telling too much. It is a dance finding that sweet spot without overwhelming, but communication is the best way we can involve our community more in the future of Harbour Square.
We need a deeper benchCOVID was devestating to our community. Social distancing made it difficult to involve new residents in a meaningful way. That is bad because community engagement and volunteering is a primary pipeline for encouraging Board participation.
Help staff do their best workWe have an amazing staff. Judy has assembled an expeienced staff that cares deeply for our property. The Board needs to provide a stable environment so they can do their best work for us.
The importance of working togetherDiversity of perspectives is important for productive decision making; however, boards must be collaborative for us to be successful. At the heart of every thriving leadership team lies a robust culture of collaboration.
